Between the usual voting methods of a voice vote and a secret ballot, are you aware that RONR mentions a dozen other methods for conducting a vote? True! This webinar will delve into half of those to allow participants to understand the best method of conducting votes and the advantages and disadvantages of using each individual method. Whether you are a presiding officer or a member of an organization, it is imperative that you intuitively know how to take a vote and which method to use at a particular time.
Jim Stewart, PRP, CSAP President
There are many ways to vote not mentioned in Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised (RONR), Instant Run Off, Approval, Borda Count, Condorcet, single transferable, etc.) and nuances to the ones that are. Jim will explore the “out of the book votes” and the details and problems of the ones in the book.
A brief “test” Zoom meeting will be offered 20 minutes prior to the actual meeting start time, to allow you to test your browser and make sure you’re set up to hear and view the slides and presentations.
