Ms. Bruton currently belongs to and/or serves on the board of several lineage societies including Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, National Society United States Daughters of 1812 and Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars.

She has worked at the international level on different committees including International Services Special Committee [ISSC]; a special committee with the goals to explore international areas for potential growth of NAP members. She held the position of the International Division 1 Vice-President with the International Training in Communication representing the Western United States and Hawaii.
